Yuri Gagarin: The Man Who Broke The Sky

On April 12th, 1961, Yuri Gagarin became the first person to man a flight out of the earths atmosphere and come back safely. He accomplished this in the sputnik satellite, on top of the vostok rocket. He was in space for 89 minutes, and was hailed as a hero. But how did the Soviet Union accomplish this feat, and what was the reactions from the world? These are a few of things we will discuss today in our project.
